Service is always good. Definitely probably overpriced but you are also getting Mexican food in the Marina. Not a date spot, more like a quick lunch with a bro. Picture is burrito bowl carne asada and shrimp. Good stuff

Tacko: Solid Tacos with a Standout Fish Option I recently hit up Tacko in San Francisco, taking advantage of a $15 off $25 DoorDash Dine Out promotion. This small taqueria offers up a mix of Mexican favorites in a casual setting. You order up front and the friendly staff will call your number when ready My order consisted of two items: a carnitas quesadilla and a Baja fish taco. Both were well-executed, but the fish taco emerged as the clear winner. The fish was perfectly fried - crisp on the outside while remaining flaky and moist inside. Topped with fresh cabbage, creamy sauce, and a squeeze of lime, it hit all the right notes for a classic Baja-style fish taco. The carnitas quesadilla was solid as well - the meat was tender and flavorful, and the cheese had that perfect pull when you take a bite. While enjoyable, it didn't quite have the same wow factor as the fish taco. Tacko's prices are on par with other quality taco spots in SF, making the DoorDash promotion a nice bonus. The restaurant itself is clean and efficiently run, though nothing particularly stands out about the atmosphere. For a quick, satisfying Mexican fix in San Francisco, Tacko delivers quality that's a notch above standard taqueria fare. The Baja fish taco alone is worth a visit, earning this spot a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

my friends and I were searching for a place to hang out after work as well as a place that does taco Tuesday. So happy to have found Tacko. We've enjoyed several taco Tuesdays here! You can't beat $2 a taco. this place can get pretty packed but the line goes fast. You'll order and get a number and they will bring your food out when ready. Other tacos on the menu are also solid. I Enjoyed the seasoning of the fish on their Baja fish taco.

This was my first time here and I was very impressed. The restaurant was bright, spacious and very clean. This is an order at the counter type of place and adult refreshments consists of beer and wine. I had a chicken and carnitas Nick's taco. These tacos are huge, and basically is a complete meal! The portions are very generous, a huge glob of guacamole and so much meat. The cashier recommended I get two tacos but one would have been more than enough. If in the Marina, it's definitely worth a visit.

I've been to tacko multiple times now and overall it's pretty reliable. Recently, I ordered take out and had their chorizo San Francisco burrito - which can easily be split or made into 2 meals! I was also tempted to try their key lime pie which I feel like was expectedly ok. Overall feel very neutral about the food here.

Things that I love: Tons of outdoor seating with heat lamps!!! Free sparkling water Excellent food Reasonable prices Food came out really fast Nick's Way Chicken Taco: Crispy, crunchy, delicious. Shredded chicken. I might want to try a different protein next time. Baja Fish Taco: Very big piece of well-battered and friend fish. Nice mayo sauce and shredded cabbage. Pretty tasty. Street Tacos: Good for a small meal Great place to grab a quick bite and also lovely place to hang out with friends.

Came here on a Monday and it was pretty dead. I got a nicks way carne asada taco and the chips and salsa. Service was okay which I had expected. Once I ordered, I looked at my receipt and saw that they charged me 4% for the San Francisco Health Mandate even though that charge was supposed to be abolished earlier this month so I wasn't very happy about that. The carne asada taco was tasty as it was packed with guac and salsa but there wasn't a lot of meat in the actual taco which was kind of disappointing. The chips and salsa were good and I liked the amount of salsa on the chips. However, when I got to the bottom of the basket the chips were soggy and wet so they weren't very tasty. Overall I would rate this place a 4/5 as it's one of my favorite Mexican spots in SF I just don't like how I was charged the 4% health mandate on my bill without my knowledge.
